Regis Welcomes Dr. Scott Maclvor

As part of the Regis College AAAS Grant, we welcomed Dr. Scott Maclvor to Regis to discuss his research and teaching. Dr. Scott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences, U of T. His research focuses on how biodiversity conservation through urban planning and design sustains and promotes flourishing in our cities, and how community ecology and biodiversity can be used as a template for urban greening to improve ecosystem service delivery.

Dr. Scott shared a fascinating presentation on his Bee Lab in Toronto, and the great work they are doing in protecting and increasing our Bee community in Toronto.
