Graduate Degrees

Students in advanced research oriented programs at Regis College are provided with a context rooted in Scripture and tradition, enlivened by a communal sense of God’s love in Jesus Christ, and stimulated by the questions and challenges of our culture. They are prepared for their vocation of theological scholarship in its dimensions of learning, research and teaching in a thorough and systematic way, according to the level of their program.   • Master of Arts in Theology (M.A.)

    Awarded by the University of St. Michael’s College
    The Master of Arts in Theology (M.A. in Theology) program is designed to provide students with graduate-level competence in several areas of theological study and to offer opportunities for advanced work in areas of particular interest to the student.

     

  • Combined Master of Divinity | Master of Arts in Theology (M.Div./M.A.)

    MDiv awarded conjointly by Regis College and the University of Toronto
    MA awarded by the University of St. Michael’s College
    Students with a BA may earn the MA and the MDiv degrees concurrently within the minimum of four years of study. Procedures for admission to the joint degree program, as well as the requirements for each degree, are stipulated in the MA Handbook. Applicants should apply for admission to the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program through Regis College and to the MA program through the TST Website.
    All students are required to maintain an electronic portfolio that documents their progress through their programs.

     

  • Master of Arts in Theological Studies (M.A.)

    Awarded conjointly by Regis College and the University of Toronto
    The Master of Arts in Theological Studies (M.A.) program is designed as a prerequisite degree for doctoral studies, or alternatively, as a capstone year of graduate study following the completion of a first‐entry or second‐entry undergraduate degree.

     

  • Master of Theology (Th.M.)

    Awarded conjointly by Regis College and the University of Toronto
    The Master of Theology (Th.M.) program is designed to deepen the student’s knowledge of theology and to further their preparation for doctoral study or pastoral ministry.
  • Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.)

    Awarded conjointly by Regis College and the University of Toronto
    The Doctor of Ministry degree is an advanced, professional degree offered by TST in a distance delivery format to students with an appropriate first degree in theology, and pastoral experience. Requirements are listed in the DMin Handbook.
    All students are required to maintain an electronic portfolio that documents their progress through their programs.

  • Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies (Ph.D.)

    The Doctoral Studies program at Regis College provides a rich intellectual and spiritual formation in the context of one of the world’s leading research universities that prepares students for advanced research, creative teaching and innovative leadership in the academy and faith communities.
