On the evening of November 19th, Regis College was honoured to welcome Cardinal Michael Czerny, SJ, who gave the College’s annual Chancellor’s Lecture, entitled ‘The Renewal of Theology as Dialogue from Within’. Speaking to an audience of roughly 100 students, faculty, staff, and friends of the College in the St Joseph Chapel at 100 Wellesley Street, Cardinal Czerny spoke about dialogue in the Church’s magisterium since Vatican Council II, dialogue in theological education and theological faculties, including Regis College, and, finally, ‘the dialogue which is theology docile to the Spirit and . . . that great “dialogue on foot” which we call “Synod” and which we pray will renew the Church and its theology, and the world our common home as well’.
