Congratulations Class of 2020!

On November 21st, Regis College held its first-ever virtual convocation ceremony.

To our graduates, whose achievements in trying academic circumstances we admire, we extend our most enthusiastic congratulations.

Anne Leahy, a graduate in economics of Queen’s University and the University of Toronto, is a Canadian diplomat. She spent forty years in the Canadian Foreign Service until 2013, serving as Canadian Ambassador to Cameroon, Poland, Russia and the Holy See as well as to the Great Lakes Region of Africa. She was the Canadian government’s Coordinator with the Holy See for Toronto’s World Youth Day 2002 and participated in inter-religious encounters between the Holy See and Muslim leaders in Rome. She was the first woman Colonel Commandant of the Royal Canadian Chaplain Service of the Canadian Forces. Serving on the School of Religious Studies Advisory Board of McGill University, she also taught Catholic Social Thought there and, as President of the Newman Association of Montreal, now promotes the mission the Newman Centre there. She has just completed two terms on the Governing Council of Regis College and has joined its Board of Governors.
