Welcome to an important anniversary year at Regis College! Founded in 1930 for the training of Jesuit priests, Regis was by 1970 one of the founding members of the Toronto School of Theology, a consortium of Catholic and Protestant schools of theology dedicated to ecumenical collaboration. In the 70s Regis added to its mission the theological education of a wide range of students of both genders and many nations. Affiliation with the University of Toronto led to conjoint degrees for TST students, thus making Regis graduates alumni/ae of one of the world’s leading research universities.
Over the course of 2020 Regis will offer various events to mark and celebrate its history. See our webpage for updates. The College will also begin to reflect on what it would like to be at its centennial, now only 10 years away. These are exciting times indeed.
