Lenten Thoughts for Friends of Regis College: An Easter Reflection

 Easter Sunday

“For Christ is the true Lamb who has taken away the sins of the world; by dying he has destroyed our death, and by rising, restored our life.”  Easter Sunday Preface

In the Resurrection the gift of faith given to the Samaritan woman becomes a reality. The man born blind sees the Lord.  The new life given to Lazarus by Jesus ends now in Christ in a new eternal life.  In God’s compassionate love, through the Lamb who died for us, we are given a share in this real faith, true sight, and eternal life.  Alleluia! ‘

“When we gather for the Lord’s Supper, we aren’t just looing backwards at the Cross, we are looking forward with thanksgiving to the time when we will all ‘rise up in the light of life’. ”  (Gilles Mongeau, SJ in Called to pray, 2012, eds., Gilles Mongeau, SJ & Brett Salkeld.)

Please join Regis in prayer this Lent.  This is a generous gift with and for Regis’ ministry.
