POSTPONED: “Women and Theology at Regis College” Lecture

March 23, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Please note this lecture has been postponed until fall 2020

A lecture in honour of Regis College’s 90th anniversary, presented by Mary Ann Hinsdale, IHM, PhD.

Dr. Hinsdale will discuss one of her broad areas of research expertise – feminist theology and women’s involvement in theological education. She’ll also touch on the interesting history of women in theology right here at Regis College.

About the Speaker:

Mary Ann Hinsdale, IHM, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Theology at Boston College. She received her STL from Regis College, and PhD from the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto. Her areas of specialization include ecclesiology, the theology of Edward Schillebeeckx, theological anthropology, and feminist theologies. Her current research centres on a pneumatological, narrative ecclesiology that employs ethnography and participatory action research, and Mary Magdalene as a resource for women’s ecclesial leadership.

She is the author of the books, Women Shaping Theology and ‘It Comes from the People’: Community Development and Local Theology, and co-editor of the forthcoming T & T Clark Companion to Theological Anthropology (expected 2020).
