Book Launch Art Exhibit: Complex Identities in a Shifting World

September 21—October 7, 2016

Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 9:00pm
Opening Reception, Wednesday, September 21, 3pm-7pm
Fridays, 9:00am – 4:30pm

Artists of Practical Theology (APT) are exhibiting on the theme Complex Identities in a Shifting World in conjunction with the book launch of this title (Zurich: LIT Verlag, 2015), which has been published by members of the International Academy of Practical Theology.  Their artistic reflections focus on one or another of the following questions, related to the theme of the book, such as: How does migration affect individual and collective identity? How does cultural change affect one spiritually? What is the nature of our connections with our family and community ancestors? How does the natural world impact our identity and sense of place? How does our relationship to nature define us? What does it teach us? How does it affect our sense of spirituality and theology? How does the interplay of diverse faiths and cultures shape us personally and collectively: our theology, our sense of spirituality, our society, and our place within it?

APT artists:  David Holt, Angela Tamari, Alexey Dreva, Linda Chen, Muhammad Irfan Aziz, Michael Stoeber, Gilles Mongeau (curator).
